The path down past the spring-fed plunge towards the changing yurt and sauna at An Sruthán

Visit

Plan your visit.

Everything you need for the journey in, from the lane and the gate to the hour itself.

01 · Getting Here

Finding your way in.

An Sruthán Sauna
Hawkstown Upper
Wicklow

The final stretch follows a private lane through the land. Take it slowly, keeping to the 20 km/h limit and using the pull-ins when meeting another vehicle. Cattle or sheep may occasionally be sharing the way. Follow the signs at the end of the lane to the An Sruthán car park.

02 · The Gate

Arriving at the farm.

An Sruthán sits within a working farm, home to cattle and sheep. The electric gate is there to keep livestock secure, not to make arrival complicated.

It opens around 15 minutes before each session and stays open through a timed window until about 15 minutes after. If you arrive earlier than that and find it closed, motion-detection cameras notify staff, who can open it remotely. Call 087 194 2524 if you run into any trouble.

On your way out, the gate opens automatically as your vehicle approaches from inside the property.

03 · On Arrival

Check in. Change. Slow down.

Park in the An Sruthán parking area and follow the path down towards the sauna. Check in at reception using the name on your booking, then take your time changing.

A divided changing yurt provides separate changing areas, with men to the right and women to the left.

If it is your first visit, we will walk you through the sauna, the spring-fed plunge, the cold showers and the rest of the facilities before you begin.

From there, the hour is yours.

Aim to arrive 10–15 minutes early, giving yourself time to park, check in and change before your hour begins. Sessions start and finish at their scheduled times, so arriving early means you can enjoy the full experience.
